Dr. Christian R. OttersteddeAfter high-school graduation (Abitur) at humanistic secondary school Paulinum in Münster, he studied Human Medicine at Westfälische-Wilhelms-Universität Münster, followed by study visits at Washington University in St. Louis and Harvard Medical School in Boston. After graduation research associate at Department of Otolaryngology, University of Heidelberg for Prof. Dr. Hagen Weidauer. Research work about genetic hearing impairment, especially Usher Syndrome. Doctorate on: classification of Usher Syndrome with the description of a new subtype with Prof. Dr. Christoph Reisser. He is working in private practice in Frankfurt together with Dr. Barun Sarkar. Frequent additional studies in the US. Regular participation in clinical studies for allergology and therapies for loss of hearing and tinnitus. Specialized publications. Executive board of the Harvard Club Rhein-Main.

Dr. Barun A. SarkarAfter high-school graduation (Abitur) at Goethe-Gymnasium in Frankfurt and military service at the Bundeswehr he studied Human Medicine at Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe-Universität Frankfurt. Graduation with Prof. Dr. Rainer Klinke (Center for Neurophysiology) with focus on neurophysiological signal processing in birds. Specialist training and research associate at Department of Otolaryngology, University of Heidelberg for Prof. Dr. Hagen Weidauer. During this period parallel participation in Emergency Service Frankfurt, lecturer at the German Paracelsus Schools and regular work as ship's doctor on board of the three-mast sailing-boat Sea Cloud. He is working in private practice in Frankfurt together with Dr. Christian Otterstedde. Frequent additional studies in the US and India. Founding member and executive board of the Medical Intervention Team e.V. with annually repeating-, charity missions in Myanmar (Burma) for surgical treatment of children with cleft lips and cleft palates. Member of Polytechnische Gesellschaft Frankfurt.
